His burden is light but that does not mean that we wont have to climb a hill sometimes. There is always more to think about and so much more to figure out, but God only reveals certain things to us at particular times because thats all that we can handle.

Pondering on issues like prayer should drive you to know more and desire more of God as the relationship grows. The burdon of the world is that of sin and strife, we will always have to deal with some portions of that as long as we are here on earth because of our innate sin nature.

I hope that kind of helps you.dharwardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09653366320187120204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2454563288268985851.post-55460818849048076742012-01-27T02:32:04.665-05:002012-01-27T02:32:04.665-05:00I'm not sure if this relates, but today I was ...I'm not sure if this relates, but today I was thinking about how I watch a religious program and she talked about how to think positively. Then I read for morning worship how to surrender. Then I read a book explaining how to pray. By the end of the day I am thinking, "All this is too much to remember. I have so much to learn and work on. Just pray about these things and leave them with God. If we look at ourselves we will always get discouraged. Don't be surprised you are a sinner, we all are. God keeps telling me lately not to worry; not to worry about my sins, weight, smoking, and family. Jesus told us this, "Don't worry about anything..." It is the only way to have joy in the Christian walk.

I am sorry to hear you have been through tough times. So have I. It's no picnic. There is a lot of illness in my family. I have fibromyalgia but the last few years have been better. Still tired a lot. My husband has a rare form of cancer. He has been sick 21 years. All I can say is we live in a world of sin and suffering and must take Jesus' hand as we walk through. God bless you.Bellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14175778756449339363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2454563288268985851.post-65009566862365755902011-12-03T03:56:51.661-05:002011-12-03T03:56:51.661-05:00This is such a great post. I'm definitely still learning what it means to have a contented desire almost daily it seems. I just read a quote the other day that puts it perfectly "Contentment is the equilibrium between enjoyment of life now and the anticipation of what is to come" - the Woman's Resolution, Patricia Shirer .Isn't that a great way of putting it?NotUnredeemedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00825901517149362508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2454563288268985851.post-70124513728627277222011-12-02T22:01:03.686-05:002011-12-02T22:01:03.686-05:00Hopped on over after reading your interview on YLC...Hopped on over after reading your interview on YLCF. :) God has also been teaching me a lot on this subject ~ thank you for sharing your perspective! I felt kind of bored and lost because my life situation had changed, but when I stopped worrying and said to God, "I don't know what you are going to do, but I trust you to do something and I know you are working for me." Then I just waited, and he did send me many new things to do that I delight in. I am 61, and I can see where he has been leading me all along. I never would have guessed. I so enjoy it and relate. I had a relationship fall apart last year that needed to end because of immaturity in the other person, and although its comforting when a relationship ends and you know you did everything you could to save it, it also hurts because everything you did didn't work.

I haven't just prayed for him. I prayed for growth...but only because I wanted the benefit. I am challenged by your 2 part blog post to pray for him.

Also, I found that ozzie c passage and both of those songs comforting during my struggles last year. Ironic how the same songs spoke to you as they did to me. Hope that stupid prayer number 4 opens the doors for great adventures in your walk with the Lord, including meeting the right guy!Katy Robertsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01077428356394241435noreply@blogger.com
